　　　彼女は腕が痛いと言った。

　　薬にはいろいろな種類がありますが、それぞれ英語ではこのように言います。

　　　　　粉薬-powder　　　　丸薬-a pill


◆サイン
　　autograph　有名人のサイン
　　signature　契約書のサイン
　　sign　標識
　　signal　野球の（監督が出す）サイン
　◇Excuse me. May I have your autograph?
　　　すみません。サインをいただけませんか？
　◇My boss put her signature to the contract.
　　　私の上司はその契約書にサインをした。
　◇Didn't you see the sign which says No Parking?
　　　駐車禁止の標識が見えなかったのですか？
　◇The coach gave the signal to steal a base.
　　　コーチは盗塁のサインを出した。

　　signは動詞では「（契約書に）サインする」という意味で使われます。
